About Marigold Maps
Marigold Maps is an independent publishing project about town and resort breaks in Mexico.
Our Story
Founded in 2026, Marigold Maps was created to make it easier to choose a Mexican town or resort and plan what to see there, from the main plaza to the ruins and cenotes nearby, before booking.
Who Writes Our Guides
Marigold Maps Editorial is an organizational publication byline. It does not imply personal visits.
- Publication byline: Articles are attributed to Marigold Maps Editorial. We do not claim a network of local reviewers.
Meet the Editor
Our guides are edited by Marigold Maps Editorial, Editorial project at Marigold Maps — the byline you'll see on our articles. Mexico town and resort guides with article-level sources.
Our Research Process
How each guide is put together:
- Sources: Use article-level sources from INAH (Mexico's national institute of anthropology and history), state and municipal tourism offices, museums, site operators and transportation providers.
- Corrections: We fix reported factual errors and update the article date.
What We Do
Marigold Maps publishes town-by-town guides to Mexico's colonial cities and resort towns: what to see and do, plazas and markets, Maya and Aztec ruins, cenotes and neighborhoods.
Our Commitment to Authenticity
We are committed to:
- Clear attribution: Separate sourced facts from editorial recommendations and avoid invented trip reports.
- Corrections: Report an article URL, disputed claim, and supporting source through our contact page.
Trust & Credibility
Each guide is built from the operators, tourism offices and providers it cites, and checked against those sources before publication. For the full workflow, read our Editorial Policy and Trust & Transparency pages.
Some guides include affiliate links. If you buy or book through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and these relationships never influence which products or experiences we recommend.
